Job Description
We are currently working with a growing Trading House looking to hire a Chartering Manager to be based in Singapore.
If you have at least 5 years of Chartering experience in the dry bulk space, handling Supramax and Handysize shipments, this role could be for you! Our client is also open to hiring Chartering Managers in the tankers space.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and nurture existing client relationships while acquiring new accounts and identifying growth opportunities across a broad geographical region.
- Take charge of chartering vessels, negotiating optimal rates, and securing favorable terms for the company.
- Oversee all operational aspects of vessels chartered by the company.
- Cultivate relationships with brokers and operators, collaborating with brokers, charterers, port terminals, stevedores, agents, etc., to ensure the seamless execution of all shipments.
- Build and sustain robust working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Participate in addressing and settling issues or disputes related to vessel chartering.
- Collect and analyze market insights from various sources and stakeholders to anticipate market changes and develop strategic opportunities.
- Demonstrate the ability to generate revenues, control expenses, enhance operational efficiencies, and maximize profitability.
