We are currently working with a US Semiconductor firm who is looking for an experienced Engineering Leader to lead the Engineering Team in Malaysia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for promoting technical excellence and fostering seamless collaboration between the Research and Development (R&D) and Operations teams. The role is based in Malacca, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 160 engineers with expertise in mechanical, electrical, software, and vision engineering, along with dedicated lab engineers and project managers.
• Collaborate with innovation centers and operations to facilitate the transition of new products to high-volume manufacturing.
• Strategically allocate Engineering team resources to meet customer requirements.
• Drive technical improvements with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Address on-field technical issues and oversee application engineering teams for efficient sales order fulfillment.
• Identify and resolve recurring engineering issues.
• Provide training and coaching to optimize the performance of the Engineering team.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure departmental excellence.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for design rules and processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Over 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proven track record in managing, mentoring, and developing large engineering teams.
• Solid knowledge of standard electro-mechanical parts, various machining processes, and fabrication.
• Proficiency in CAD applications.
